Maruti Suzuki has revealed a revamped Vitara Brezza at the AutoExpo. Simultaneously the company has announced that it would be making a switch to petrol-only model. Come this April, the diesel would no longer be available. The good news is that the company would be replacing the old 1.2-litre unit with the larger 1.5-litre unit. The new power plant is the same K15B that we've seen in Ciaz, Ertiga etc. It makes 105bhp and 138Nm of torque. The Brezza will offer a 5-speed gearbox as standard and there will and option for 4-speed (torque converter) automatic. Maruti has decided to offer mild-hybrid technology with the automatic variant only. The claimed ARAI efficiency figures for the the 5-speed manual are rated at 17.03kpl while the automatic, is rated at 18.76kpl.

Maruti Suzuki - Vitara Brezza
Coming to the way the car looks, the upgrades are largely cosmetic with added chrome bits. The front-end features headlamps that have been reworked to accommodate larger DRLs, the grille has been reworked, there are larger fog lamp housings and bumper has been reworked too. On the side, you would notice the new alloy wheel, and on the rear, the bumper has been reworked. Vitara Brezza will also be offering three new dual-tone colour options: Torque Blue with midnight Black roof, Sizzling Red with midnight Black roof, and Granite Grey with Autumn Orange for the roof.
On the inside the may appear untouched, however, you may notice that there's a new trim for interiors now along with a new SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with 7.0 inch touch screen, cruise control as well as automatic wipers.
The Vitara Brezza has topped the charts and is the best selling car in the segment almost every month since its launch. There's expected to be a marginal price increase since it would no longer be a candidate for excise cuts available to cars less powerful cars which are under four meters in length, since it does not offer the 1.2-litre unit now. The prices are expected to be announced later this month.
