Design and Exteriors
Alto K10 is built on the same platform as the Alto aka Alto 800, i.e. it has almost the same footprint. On the exterior, you would notice a number of changes. The front has larger headlamps with a dash of chrome in the middle, amidst which sits the Suzuki logo . In addition, you also get fog lamps which are amiss on the Alto 800. The rear as well as the sides are noticeably different too.

The AltoK10 though based on the same platform, the car is marginally longer. While the Alto measures around 3445 mm, the Alto K10 is 3545 mm long. Alto K10 has the same wheelbase i.e. 2360 mm. The front and rear tracks are same too, 1295 mm and 1290 mm respectively. The car is available in five colours - Tango Orange, Blazing Red, Granite Grey, Solid White, Silky Silver.
Engine and Transmission
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 comes equipped with a three cylinder, 1.0 litre engine. It's the same unit that powers the S-Presso. The engine drives the front two wheels and is transversely mounted like in most cars in this segment.

The power and torque figures are marginally different for the motor when run on petrol in comparison to the CNG. The petrol motor puts out a healthy power of 67.1 bhp at 6000 rpm and torque come to 90 Nm at 3000 rpm. The power and torque for CNG run motor at same rpm are 58.3 bhp and 78 Nm.

There are two transmission options, a 5-speed manual and an automatic, the latter is an AMT unit which Maruti calls AGS. The fuel economy figures are marginally different for CNG and Petrol. While petrol motor offers 23.95 kmpl the CNG claims a figure of 32.26 km/kg
Interiors and Features
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 offers dual tone interiors, with bits that are finished in piano black. The instrument console is placed in the driver's line of sight and offer large readable dials and a tachometer along with other features such as internally adjustable ORVMs, front power windows, air conditioning and heater, key less entry, gear-shift indicator etc.

A host of safety and security features are offered as standard such as driver airbag, reverse parking sensors, speed-alert system, ABS with EBD. Surprisingly, the car does not offer touchscreen SmartPlay system like some of the more inexpensive cars like Alto 800. Wheels and Brakes
Alto K10 has been shod with 155 mm wide tyres and 13" wheels. The aspect ratio of the tyres is 65. Braking duties are performed by ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
