Tata motors has showcased a very interesting EV concept today at the Auto Expo 2020, named - Sierra EV. For those who are not familiar should definitely search for Tata Sierra on Google and have a look at the car from which the concept is inspired. Sierra was a legendary car that everyone wished to own in the 90s. The Sierra EV concept showcased today gives a modern and progressive look into the future of SUVs.

The concept showcased looked ready to take a stroll in the jungle, but is nowhere near production and we doubt if it will ever be produced in the same form - i.e. with large greenhouse glass on the side. The large glass area lets the light in but had its flaws and was not liked by owners due to lack of airiness at the back. However, it does have a great sentiment value and is a homage to the legend. The concept features a fully-electrified powertrain unit according to the manufacturer. The influence of Land Rover can definitely be seen at the rear as well as the front where different styling elements seem inspired from the former, and make the concept look very butch indeed. The concept is based on the Tata's ALFA ARC platform and we may see cars based on the platform in the future.

The front features an extremely wide profile. Face comprises of sleek LED headlamps, below it sits a brawny and muscular bumper with skid plate at the bottom. The A-pillar has been given black treatment and provides a frame-less appearance. At the rear, sits an embossed moniker in bold. Skid plates can be found at the rear too. To break the monotony, the LED strip runs across the entire width of the car at the back.
